UpTownAndAround.com is a resource hub that provides up-to-date information relevant to our immediate surroundings; a space that is fun, where safe and friendly interaction can take place. Today, UpTownAndAround.com is wholly sponsored by BeSquare.com -a New Jersey based Branding and Design workshop teaming up with caring Local Residents of each community. Our objective is to create a series of on-line community directories catering specifically to the newcomers to and the citizens of that specific local community wherever it might be across this great nation. Local businesses who choose to co-sponsor this project will find UpTownAndAround.com an alternative venue to promote their products and services, as well as a medium where they can keep in touch with their local patrons. Web presence and links to other sites will undoubtedly increase awareness of their existence; while providing the local consumer population an opportunity to support their very own business community.
UpTownAndAround.com has set aside space for all non-profit organizations to announce their services and upcoming events. In time, UpTownAndAround.com hopes to be a partner in sponsoring charitable events and play a more active part in bringing our community together.
The layout and design of the site is the brainchild of two brothers: The Beri Brothers (hence the BeSquare.)
 A creative marketing and communications strategist, Jacob Beri advises businesses on engagement strategies and helps them implement initiatives to build stronger brands, customer loyalty, and revenues. He is a passionate advocate on the topic of marketing and social media strategy. A New Jersey resident for longer than he remembers; the UT&A concept originated back when Jacob wanted to create something to give back to the community that has been so good to him and his twins, now soon to be college graduates.
 Engin Beri, long time resident of New Jersey, after spending some time in Europe and Miami, FL, now calls Astoria, New York his hometown. Simply put -Engin is a Graphic Design Genius! He is solely responsible for the eye pleasing colors of the UpTown logo and the color scheme dominating the site that is already creating a buzz in various circles from the street to the academia.
The accelerating force behind UpTown was Tom Smith, a resident of Dover, Ohio. The collaboration between the Beri brothers and Tom came about when Jacob shared his passion with him. Tom, the consummate sales person, immediately saw the potential to level the playing field for the indepen-dent local retailer, while providing a valuable resource to the community. That's when the Home-Team made it their mission to launch this community of inter-connected local websites from coast to coast. Tom has moved on to other projects since then.
 The newest addition to the core team is Doreen Pearson. Doreen calls the Twin Cities of Minneapolis home. Doreen had been working with Jacob and Engin on nationwide marketing campaigns in niche markets. Her skills as the 'keeper of the gate' enable the creative duo do what they do best while she keeps an eye on the business aspects of this community project.
